Serene Top

About:

Suu-reen: calm, peace or tranquil; unruffled.  It’s no coinkidink this top is perfect for…everything. You don’t stop at looking fabulous when you workout; you want a little flare, but not too much, you look through your closet, and alas, you find the perfect crop top that has the best of both worlds. The Serene top will add to your wardrobe, making you look fabulous as you sweat, or layer under your daily clothes.  The delicate braid flatters and defines the back, making you look chic, and sporty, while the crop accentuates your trim waist.  A built-in shelf bra provides extra support, and the braid keeps the halter  away from the neck for added comfort and less strain.  Sport this top in hot yoga, yoga, the gym, dance class, or wear as an under-shirt, under a low-scoop back shirt to show off the unique braid.

Bella Pant (Tall)

About:

“A pant that can take us everywhere, from the bed, to the gym, to yoga class, to getting a pint of ice cream and baking brownies at home (you deserve it after a hard working day).  You won’t want to take these off once you’ve slipped into their comfort.  For a lazy Sunday, or an active week, these will surely be the right fit for any activity.  The soft and supple 2” waistband blends into your hips with ease, no pinching, tugging, or adjusting.  The 30″inseam is ideal for the average female height, not too long and not too short.

Features: soft 2″ waistband, with newly re-designed front-tie strings, gusset lining

Inseam: 30″

Fabric: Perfit

My Thoughts:

These two pieces have been a real treat to wear. The quality of the fabric is incredibly comfortable, yet substantial and practical enough for intense running and workouts. I’ve enjoyed wear this Serene top (it’s supportive enough and stays put) for outdoor summer runs. The braid and cut of this top is so unique and I found it to be figure flattering.

My favorite thing about these pants is the fit and the length. I love that Mika offers the “tall” option. I’m about 5’9″ and often find that athletic pants aren’t long enough for my liking. These are plenty long (with about a 36″ inseam). No worries about wearing high-waters with these :) The drawstring waist is normally something I wouldn’t expect or desire in a yoga pant, but in this case it works well and is comfortable to keep them up on my hips (though not absolutely needed–because they stay put). They feel great while running, but these pants are my favorite for lounging/running errands pants because of the comfy material.

This is a pretty simple review for me to write because I have no complaints. Mika has been very helpful, friendly and their products are excellent and worth every penny. I have nothing but good things to say here:

-Fit is fantastic

-Comfortable fabric

-Figure flattering

-Pants are not transparent (as some spandex pants tend to be)

-Long enough for tall women

-Cute and unique style

Go check out this amazing brand! I’d encourage you to browse their yoga wear even if you aren’t a yogi–as I’m an avid runner (occasional yoga practicer) and have found these pieces to be perfect for my running routine. I even look forward to exercising just so that I can wear them!
